Last night, Peeper did nurse to sleep, but not for very long because she was up late, so we only read one chapter of her book, then it didn’t take her long to fall asleep. She woke up about 6 am, I lay down with her and she nursed back to sleep pretty quickly. When the clock went off, she popped up without asking to nurse.
This evening, at bedtime, she told me, “I don’t want goody.”
“That’s fine,” I said, “Why not?”
“Because when I’m being a character (usually Elsa from Frozen, these days) I don’t want to goody to sleep, I want to go to sleep like the character.
After we read, she asked me to sing again. For the first few songs, she kept stopping me to ask questions about the lyrics or about Frozen, until I finally told her, “No more questions. You can ask me about the words tomorros, for now just listen to the pretty music and go to sleep!”
She said, “But I have lots of questions in my head, and they have to come out right now!”
“Okay.” (sigh) “What’s your question.”
After answering a couple more Frozen questions for the millionth time, I told her, “If you think of any more questions, just file them in your brain right here (tapped her on the head) and ask me tomorrow.”
She finally settled down at that time, and was asleep within a couple of songs. With no nursing.
